Music Worship

Palmyra United Methodist Church has long been known for its strong music programs, inspiring many church attendees with the sacred music they hear, whether it be from congregational hymns, choir anthems, or instruments--music plays an important role in the life of our church! The strength of the PUMC music program allows for the multiple musical talents within the congregation with Jeff and Susan leading various musical programs as members of the PUMC staff. Our choir meets on Tuesday night and sings at the 11:00 am service every Sunday morning. Our choir performs larger works to sing at Easter or Christmas.

Recently the church acquired a set of bells which allows more people to participate in musical activities. As we had so many people interested, we added a second bell choir. Both bell choirs play during occasional morning services and at various events in the community. The Village Ringers rehearse on Monday afternoons and the Righteous Ringers rehearse on Wednesday evenings.

Both the Sanctuary Choir and the Bell Choirs take off for the summer between the Fourth of July and Labor Day. We encourage special music from anyone who would like the opportunity to share their talents during the summer.
